Yes I am playing it now, though I am late.
The first reaction was it gives lots of pressure on your hardware.
My PC configuration is--
AMD Athlon 64 Processor
1280 Mb RAM
Asus K8NF4G SATA2 Motherboard
Onboard Geforce 6100 256 MB
And I had to play with the video settings to make it run gently.
Well I haven't played in multiplayer mode yet, but in single player mode I am already very satisfied. The weapons are very advanced and good to handle. I don't like the kind of unreal weapons of Unreal Tournament. Here all weapons are handy even the silenced pistol too.
The large terrains are magnificent. You can use every structure in your favour when particular situation arrives. In the last map, I used a grilled building corridor to escape a machine gunners bullets to minimise the health loss.
I always like the games in which you have to interact with the environment a lot or where the environment has a strong impact on your mind while you are playing, in that way you feel yourself more inside the game, that is why I love Half-life -1/2, Quake -2/4, Far Cry, Doom -95/3 and many others. I still remember myself in Half-Life 1 where I had to escape the giant bird like creature(I can't remember it's name/genre now) by using it's only one disability that it was blind. I had to walk slowly without making any sound and if I made one sound, I had to immediately use the grenade on my hand to distract him from me. I still feel the thrill. Anyway it was about Battlefield 2 and I will post again when I am finished with the game
